This novel is a sweet Regency romance and can be read as a stand-alone, though readers of the previous books will enjoy seeing old friends again.

SWEET FOR THE SEASON.

Another enjoyable read in this series. I’ve been saving this book for the holiday’s and it did not disappoint! I like how easy these books feel and give off the cozy historical romance vibe that will make you smile.

I adore this whole family and love all of the castle adventures. There’s cute moments between the main couple, Isleen and Simon. I liked their banter and their willingness to admit wrongs and how entirely cute they were together.

It’s a sweet and quick read that if you’ve liked the rest of the series you’ll love this one too.

THIS WAS CUTE.

This whole series has just been a truly light and enjoyable time. These don’t have a lot of hoopla or excess drama or super mean characters. It’s romantic and sweet and makes you smile. And I really love throwing in simple books like this (because there’s nothing wrong with a simple book).

I thought Luca and Emma had great chemistry from the beginning. I liked all of the little moments like pasta making and walks in the park where they really got to know each other. I loved seeing the differences between their lives and the connections and common ground they foudn.

It’s a quick audiobook (7 hours) and is easy to read in a day. Highly recommend for sweet regency lovers!

SWEET.

Another gentle and sweet book from this series. I love how easy they are (and that’s a big compliment). Sometimes what you want is a tender romance that brings some good feels but doesn’t overwhelm you. This is that sunshine of a book.

I can’t remember the last time I read brother’s best friend in regency. I love the play on that here and how much forced proximity we got between Andrew and Josephine. They had snappy chemistry from the get-go (I’d say a dash of enemies to lovers) and I loved watching them slowly realize how much care actually lied between them.

Plot wise I think I was hoping for a little bit more. The reasons they were in the country made sense, but they didn’t seem to be that big of a deal too? I don’t know if that makes any sense, it was just the vibe I had reading.

I’m really enjoying this series and reading Sally Britton books. I’m turning into a big fan!

THIS WAS CUTE.

What a quick and delightful read I got to listen to today. I adored the fact that this had unique jobs for both characters! Well, I know governess is pretty common, but paired with an entomologist?? In the regency period? YES. I thought it was so fun (even if bug creep me out). There was a different flair to the whole story having both of them as part of the working class and it was probably my favorite aspect.

The romance was adorable. A very low angst, slow build full of good moments. It’s gentle for the soul and something I would easily recommend if you’re needing a pick me up. I loved watching Alice grow over the book and learn that she has value and deserves to be loved just as much as anyone else.

And can we talk about the Duke?? I know he was an older side character but it was my absolute favorite little tid bit that he was so incredibly kind!! He cared for his children, looked after the main characters and I thought that was a great addition to the story as a whole.
