LOVED THIS.

This is my favorite installment yet. Namely because of one scene that I needed to happen, DID. And don’t you love it when you get what you asked for?

The mystery for this was also interesting. I keep wondering if I’ll eventually get bored of the murder mystery aspect and I still haven’t. Each one has it’s own tone and plays back into the true over-arching plot of the entire series. I’m easily wrapped back in each time wondering who is actually the murderer and for that matter, WHY.

I love all of these side characters. Max, Finn, Melissa and more. They are just the epitome of friends with Wanda. I would definitely read spin-off books about them (HINT HINT).

Now that all of these instances have occurred I am even more into this. I want to know how it ends and I can’t wait to finish this series too. I’m even planning on reading the Melissa side stories too!

A FAV.

This will definitely be one of my favorites for the entire series. I loved the mystery and it really kept me on edge. I was so distracted by other points of the story the real murderers snuck in beautifully.

Wanda is just, an absolute gem. I love her. Great humor, ability to be brave when needed and vulnerable when the world calls for that too. I love her friendship with Max, Finn and Melissa. Dizzy, her bat familiar, is cute and has continued to be a perfect addition to series. Things are starting to come together in Wanda’s personal life too and there’s a prophecy being opened up so I am here for the last few books!!

These are short books and don’t need long reviews. Trust me when I say that if you’re looking to try out a cozy mystery, I would HIGHLY recommend these! I’m never bored and love revisiting these characters and world over again. I keep trying to read a different kindle book in between these and get totally sucked back into the Wayfair’s.

AT LAST.

I was hoping this installment was going to give me some things that I needed to happen to want to continue.

THEY DID. So here I am, still fully invested six books in.

In a simple story line there was a lot to unpack. This focused more on Wanda’s romance life and brought us up to speed on where we all know that’s going. I thought it was quirky with everything happening, making me very happy that this mystery was solved. Because I definitely sat here most of the book going, what is happening?!?

All of the reveals had me dropping my jaw, and also saying, I KNEW IT.

Give me a fabulous ending and I’m reading to follow Wanda onto the next mystery. I love the simplicity of these stories and seriously, the absolute coziness. These fit their genre incredibly well and have become a comfort read I can rely on to have a good time.

CREEPY AND QUICK.

These books are so fun! I love the light layer of spooky ghosts and that have definitely creepy moments, but also the friendships and growth in characters makes these even better.

I loved getting a deeper dive into Cassidy and Jacob’s friendship. I’ve had many a question about Jacob from the beginning and it was nice getting some of that information. They have some deep conflicts to encounter in future book(s) that my heart worries for, but also really can’t wait to read.

This setting was perfect for a paranormal read. I love that history is mixed into the plot. Learning about the Paris catacombs, getting a few ghosts stories, and much more. I was freaked out myself from even imagining being stuck in those tombs.

The ending left plenty open and has me wondering what the next book will hold in New Orleans. I love that these focus on friendship and solving mysteries. Cassidy and Jacob are such a pair.
