I enjoyed this book so much. I thought it was a good wrap-up to the series (and can still totally be read alone, the epilogue in this one just highlights the previous couples a little).

I loved the magical realism aspect. I thought it was subtle and made the moment just right. All of the times they ended up locked in together caused an incredible amount of chemistry and connection to form. It was swoony and heated and I think Katie Bailey has some of the best kissing scenes around.

The journey was good and I looooved Beckett and his family. A rambunctious bunch who loved so big and I appreciated how they helped Beckett realize he needed to start living his life for him. And I loved Keeley’s arc too. She is spunky and fun and learned to let go of some past hurt to have a fulfilling relationship with Beckett.

IT’S OVER.

I thought that overall, this was a good conclusion to the series. This family is one of my favorites and I love all of their dynamics and the way they take care of each other. There’s such hope and tenderness in the Bergman family that soothe something in my soul every time.

The romance was better for me in the second half. I felt the chemistry was lacking a bit in the start and it took me awhile to love Viggo and Tallulah together. I enjoyed them as separate characters and I wish the lust aspect wasn’t so heavily leaned on. The themes of jumping into scary things and being open to new experiences and relationships was beautifully woven in. I loved the therapy conversations and how Viggo and Tallulah truly found each other.

OH THIS BOOK.

I admit that this took me a little to get into but that ending?? The romance?? Got me in the FEEEELS. Now, it does seem a little insta-ish, but let it grow on you!! Trust the journey y’all.

My historical nerd self went down many a Jack the Ripper research hole after finishing this book. I love historical books that make me want to research. And I love reading historicals that cover different time periods than I generally come across.

And I adored the FMC, Kate. She was strong willed and learning but always seemed to genuinely be trying to take the next right step and I loved her courage. There were many good twists to the plot that ramped up my engagement as the pages moved. I also really adored the romance. It brought the swoon and the passion and the I would do anything to see you happy vibes that I am all over. We love a a man DOWN BAD.

I think this is easily one of my favorites of this whole series now and I have loved seeing the crossing timelines, family trees and all of the touches of faith too. What an incredible book.

I LIKED IT.

I thought this was a good conclusion. I didn’t have any over hyped expectations or anything. I was just looking for a young adult fantasy to listen to and this did the job.

I always love meddling gods and while this had some predictable turns, I still liked the story. The romance played out differently than the usual though and I liked seeing Damian and Rossana work together. There’s a great plot with small parts playing into the story from multiple angles. Some good cross roads and growth and I liked the side characters too.

I felt like this wrapped things up well, but maybe there’s more? I’m not sure, I thought this concluded things and left it at a good spot.
